Student iPad Instructions - Saving to Google Drive

  1. Open the iWorks app you want to share from (e.g. Keynote), then view your presentation.
  2. To share your Keynote presentation, tap on the wrench in the top right-hand corner and choose Share and Print option.
  3. Select the Open in Another App option. You’ll be prompted to choose a format. Choose Keynote for this example, although you can choose the others (e.g. PDF, PowerPoint).
  4. Once your presentation is ready, a blue button with white letters will appear that says, Choose
  5. App.
  6. When you tap that button, you’ll be given a list of apps. Look for the Open in Google Drive button/option and select it.
  7. The GoogleDrive app will pop up and ask you, Would you like to upload presentationname.key to Drive? Choose the Upload option that appears below the question. Wait patiently as your presentation is put on Google Drive.
  8. You can easily get a copy of the presentationname.key file and save it on your computer, then put it back on Google Drive, and re-open it.

Opening a Keynote File Stored in Google Drive

  1. Start the Google Drive app on your iPad
  2. Find the Keynote presentation file you previously saved either from your computer or iPad.
  3. Tap on the file. When it pops up a message that it is Unable to open file, go to the sharing button in the top right-hand corner of the screen and tap on it.
  4. Choose Open in... and select the Open in Keynote option. This will import your presentation into Keynote.
